Hello there,
Well its been some time since i last posted anything but i have been rather busy at work travelling about all over the place. but following on from my last post i would like to introduce you to the miniatures range for Wings of War. Now i know that in my last post i mentioned that they were rather pricey and not a neccesity to play the game but with the Devises and district wargames group holding their annual show "Attack" this weekend i had to come home with something! The wife vowed that certain parts of my anatomy would be removed if i came home with more lead to add to the paining pile so i opted for pre pained aircraft with the excuse that my daughter picked them...not all untrue but i did suggest them and pay for them!!
So two 1:144 scale aircraft a Sopwith Camel and an Albatross

The models are quite nicely painted although they are plastic and they come with a flight stand as shown depicting the aircraft stats and four altitude pegs and another complete set of maneouvre cards.
We (The mini monster and I) played a game this afternoon She the sopwith and I the Albatross

Like most competetive dads i ensured that i won (even if she is only 3)

Here the Albatross rakes the Sopwith nose to tail in lead at half range causing 2 hits but jamming the guns for three maneuvres in the process, shortly after this brief engagement the 3 year old grew bored and left the field!!!
Although you do not require the miniatures they do look good and add a further feature to the game and i think i will be purchasing some more aircraft to add to the collection maybe some two seaters next to conduct a photogrphic or bombing mission!!!
